About ACE
A Thing Of Beauty...
ACE brings together art, education, business and
community resources to create meaningful works of art for permanent
public display. This "partnership" nurtures community
spirit. People of all ages and interests are invited to participate.
The result of their cooperative endeavor is a beautiful, long-lasting
piece of art created by the community, for the community.
...Is A Lamp
An ACE project shows what is important
to a community; it helps illuminate the shared values the
community deems important. A typical ACE project promotes:
- stewardship (recycling)
- civic responsibility (pride
in community)
- cooperative problem-solving
(through brainstorming and the practical application of ideas)
- private sector support of community
(for-profit strengthening non-profit)
ACE projects use art to kindle community spirit and
tap community spirit to vitalize art.
...Is A Mirror
An ACE project reflects what a community
is, of how it can work together for common goals. An ACE project
provides a model that can be mirrored to solve other civic
and personal issues. An ACE project is an occasion for people to
work together non-competitively to literally create something from
nothing. Proceeding with respect for differing opinions, compromises
must be reached, not at the cost of the quality of the finished
project, but compromise that creates synergy -- creating something
better than any individual in the group could create alone. An ACE
project is a display of CREATIVITY and BRAIN POWER in a positive
and beautiful way.
...Is A Joy Forever!
